Looking for a puppy or a kitten? A mature dog or cat? Purebred or a one-of-a kind mixed breed? The Animal Foundation has the largest and best selection of animals in Southern Nevada. We even have birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets, snakes and more!
Thank you for taking the time to consider the adoption option. Adopting an animal from The Animal Foundation will provide that precious pet a forever home.
ADOPTION HOURS
The Adoption Department is open daily from 11am to 7pm.
We encourage patrons who already have a dog or puppy to bring that pet with them to our campus if they’re looking to adopt a companion dog. We offer outdoor “get-acquainted” areas to introduce the potential future siblings on neutral ground. Our trained adoption counselors are on-site to assist with the introduction.
ADOPTION FEES
Like many shelters across the country, we use variable adoption pricing. Some animals are considered more desirable and easier to adopt. Their higher adoption fees will leave a financial legacy for other animals needing extensive medical care or more time to find a home. All adoption fees include your new pet’s first series of vaccines, a spay or neuter operation, microchip identification (dogs, cats, rabbits), complimentary five-pound bag of Science Diet pet food, and list of participating veterinary clinics providing a complimentary wellness checkup with your receipt.
