Community Service

Thank you for your interest in performing your community service hours at The Animal Foundation.

If you need community service hours for SCHOOL CREDIT please go back to the volunteer section, read the Frequently Asked Questions and follow instructions for the individual volunteer program.

To perform COURT-ORDERED community service, please contact HELP of Southern Nevada at 369-HELP (4357). We do not accept referrals directly from courts, judges, probation officers or attorneys.  Minimum age for court-ordered applicants is 18.  If you already have your referral and timesheet from HELP, please sign-in any morning of the week by 8:00am in the main shelter building. Enter through the door marked “Community Service Applications and Sign-In”  and follow those signs to the sign-in window.

To fulfill community service hours as part of a state WELFARE PROGRAM, please consult your case manager.  If you already have your timesheets, please sign-in any morning of the week by 8:00am in the main shelter building. Enter through the door marked “Community Service Applications and Sign-In” and follow those signs to the sign-in window.

Community service work is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrival after 8:00am might mean being turned away as all the work for the day has been assigned.
