Paris Hilton Volunteers at The Animal Foundation, Adopts Chihuahua, Joins Fight Against Pet Overpopulation
Hilton Hotel Heiress Paris Hilton stopped by The Animal Foundation to volunteer some of her time. Paris got down to business, cleaning kennels, giving the dogs fresh water, and distributing blankets to keep the animals warm. While cleaning in one of the Greenspun Family Dog Adoption Bungalows, Paris met and fell in love with a tan 3-year-old chihuahua named Skeet. After she had finished performing her service, she took him out into one of the socialization areas to play, and decided she wanted to adopt him (and rename him Sid Vicious). Paris picked him up the following day after his neuter operation. Her time at The Animal Foundation inspired her to promote the pet adoption option to her fans, tweeting “This Christmas, if you’re thinking of getting a dog or cat, get one at your local animal shelter. Save a life. Don’t shop. Adopt.” Read the rest of the story and see the photos.
